You're missing out on a huge opportunity to attract new customers.
Think of local SEO as your virtual storefront.
It's how you ensure your brand is visible to those searching for your services in your area.
Here are three powerful local SEO hacks to help you climb the search rankings and get noticed by potential customers in your neighborhood.

1. Complete & Verify
I can't tell you the number of new business owners who have come to me for a website and still need to set up their Google Business Profile (GBP).
I'm honored… but simultaneously, that is SUCH a low-hanging fruit.
It's a mini-version of a website that Google will immediately start pushing traffic towards IF you do these two things.
Complete the ENTIRE profile and VERIFY your address.
I'm not going to go over that process in this email… just do it… but I do want to hit home a few things you should consider.
- Encourage reviews.
- Upload videos and images.
- Fill out every detail of your profile.
- Add updates (It’s like posting on social media).
Your GBP should be the cornerstone of your local SEO rankings (along with your website).
2. Keywords
Imagine your ideal customer is searching online for “physical therapist near me” or “chiropractor near me” or… insert whatever your service is.
Then… they hit enter… and your website is nowhere to be found… ouch.
I know this feeling well because it’s exactly what I’ve noticed with a lot of the physical therapists I’ve been working with.
They want to improve their search rankings but are missing something simple… yet important.
They should have included the name of their service in the title and meta description of their website.
Think of it like this… if your business name is “Shift Performance” and you provide physical therapy for runners… make that the title of your website.
“Shift Performance Physical Therapy for Runners.”
For bonus points, add additional details about your services in your website's meta description (the text that appears under the title when someone searches for it).
That way… when someone jumps onto Google and searches for that service near them… Google knows EXACTLY who to point them to… YOU!
3. Location
Now, let's imagine you have a well-designed website and have optimized your Google Business Profile… but for some reason… people still can’t find you.
You probably forgot to include the location of your services throughout your website.
If your website (and GBP) doesn't clearly communicate your location, you're missing out on a crucial ranking factor for local search results.
For example, if you’re a physical therapist in Austin, Texas… include that phrase throughout your GBP and website.
Here are some places you could put your location:
- The header
- The footer
- The about page
- The services page
- The blog page
Really… anywhere it makes sense. Don’t force it, but definitely include it.
Do it well and Google will reward you with more traffic.
