Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.
Turkey Trots, sweet potatoes, and a heaping scoop of gratitude.
Let’s give your marketing efforts a little extra love this season.
Here are three Thanksgiving-inspired marketing tactics to help you build stronger client relationships.

Don’t take your customers for granted. I get it… in the hustle and bustle of running a business, it’s easy to forget about the people who supported you from the beginning.
Every year on Thanksgiving, I write personalized "gratitude cards" to all the important people in my life, including my clients.
It's a small gesture that goes a long way. The crazy part is that I get more out of it than the people I write the letters for.
It feels good to slow down and write a few kind words to the people you care about.
Here’s how:
Small gestures often have a big impact.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to connect with your audience when they're already engaged and receptive to seasonal content.
I used to be all for batching content… I’ve changed my mind… well, at least in the traditional sense.
For most people, batching content means having a calendar with weeks or months of content ready to go.
This can be great for staying consistent but often misses the bigger picture.
Social media isn’t where you shout your ideas into the void… it’s where you get involved in the conversations that are already happening.
Think of it like a college party. If someone were suddenly doing a keg stand while balancing a dog on their feet… obviously, you’d have something to say about that.
But if you’re so locked into what you’re doing instead of what’s happening in the world, you’d completely miss the boat.
Instead, join the party.
Tune in to the holiday spirit and create content that resonates.
Don’t forget to create an emotional connection with your audience.

TELL MORE STORIES.
Speaking of stories, Thanksgiving 2022 was one for the books. My parents came all the way from Minnesota to visit me in Austin, Texas. We had a blast exploring the city, eating BBQ, and soaking up the Texas sunshine.
That was… until I got their car towed.
My parents generously let me borrow their car to drive home from their Airbnb. The following day, I walk out to my parking garage... and the car is gone. Vanished. Poof!
After a mini-meltdown and quickly working through the 5-stages of grief, I discovered it had been towed. I'd accidentally parked in someone's paid parking spot (idiot!).
Now, you might think this would seriously dampen the holiday spirit… but not so fast! My parents were incredibly gracious about the whole ordeal despite the inconvenience, the unexpected expense, and the fact that it was entirely my fault.
They helped me navigate the towing company chaos, and somehow, we all managed to laugh it off (well, I did anyway).
It's a memory I'll never forget (and neither will they). But beyond the humor and the "oops" factor, this experience reminded me of the power of connection and shared experiences. It's a story that always makes me smile and reminds me of the incredible kindness my parents can display.
And that, my friends, is the essence of great storytelling.
Take home point…
- Show Gratitude.
- Be relevant.
- Tell stories.
