It’s that you don’t know how to create one.

Here’s how you create one.

1. Make it Precise

Your lead magnet is doing too much.
You’re trying to solve too many problems.

I know because I made the same mistake.

My first lead magnet was “The Ultimate Website Guide for Health Professionals.”

Nobody downloaded it.
It was overwhelming.

Don’t create a lead magnet that solves every problem.
Solve one problem well.

• Weight loss -> calorie calculator
• Build muscle -> compound exercises
• Back pain -> stretches

What is the one problem your ideal customers face?

2. Make it Good

If nobody is talking about your lead magnet.
It’s not good enough yet.

Bodybuilding.com is one of my favorite examples of this.
They give away the barn.

They solve problems in depth.
And behind it, they sell supplements.

I’ve shared many articles from their website.
And I’m sure you have too.

The key is to be the go-to resource for solving a problem.

You don’t have to solve every problem.
But solve one problem really damn well.

3. Make it Clear

A lead magnet shouldn’t just solve a problem.
It should lead someone to the next step.

I’ve been visiting a close friend in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
He introduced me to his chiropractor.

Attached to the chiropractor’s office is a gym.
But the gym doesn’t make much money.

It’s a lead magnet.
To get clients into chiropractic services.

Here’s the deeper lesson in this.

Make it clear what step someone should take next.

A lead magnet solves one problem.
Your service or your product solve the next.
