“Marketing Tips for Health Brands”

Life on the farm lately has taught me a lot about marketing.
Especially when it comes to the power of focus.
Great marketing is rarely about doing more… and almost always about doing less but better.

👇
1. Scattered
Most people’s marketing efforts look like a chicken with its head cut off.
I’ve never actually cut the head off a chicken (thankfully), but I do know what they look like with their heads on.
Wild… sporadic… skittish… and inconsistent.
I can only imagine what they look like WITHOUT a head.
Ironically, that’s how most people approach their marketing. 🐔
They try to do everything…
- Social media
- Emails
- Blogging
- Events
- Podcasting
- Cold outreach
- Ads
And then they wonder why nothing works.
In short, they spread themselves WAY too thin.

2. Relentless
Dogs don’t have that same problem. Especially when it comes to food.
When 7 am rolls around, I know without a shadow of a doubt that they will be staring me dead in my face until I feed them.
They are INCREDIBLY persistent (almost annoyingly so). 🐶
But this is what it takes to succeed (especially with marketing).
You can’t just show up whenever you want and expect to magically attract a bunch of leads.
Sorry friend… it doesn’t work that way.
There are MILLIONS of other people all clammering for your ideal customer’s attention.
Your one-off random marketing effort simply won’t cut it.
Just like the pups and their food, you need to be relentless in your marketing efforts.

3. Persistence
However, the most persistent of the animals is oddly… the rooster.
Every morning… no matter WHAT… he wakes up with one VERY CLEAR PURPOSE.
To let the world know that it is a new day.
- He’s loud.
- He’s consistent.
- And he’s impossible to ignore.
In essence… the ultimate marketer. 🐓
If you want to attract more leads than you know what to do with… channel your inner rooster.
Here’s how:
Clarify your message
Just like the rooster's crow, your message should be clear, concise, and impossible to ignore.
Clear beats clever unless clever is clear.
Target Your Audience
You might think that the rooster is crowing to anybody who will listen. But he’s not.
Roosters crow primarily to establish dominance within their flock.
This means they are talking specifically to their hens and any competitors who might be trying to swoop in and take over.
Your marketing needs to be the same.
Figure out where your “flock” is (Facebook, Instagram, email, Reddit, etc.), and then put all your energy THERE.
A rooster that tries to crow to EVERYONE ends up crowing to NO ONE.
Be Consistent
The rooster crows every morning, rain or shine.
(which was a good reason for me to go to bed earlier)
Your marketing efforts should be just as consistent.
Not on days you “feel like it.”Not when you have “enough leads.”Not when inspiration strikes.
EVERY. DAMN. DAY.
Until you’re making over 1 million in revenue, you should spend 4 hours every day on marketing… it’s that important.

Take home point…
- Clarify your message.
- Focus your energy
- Be persistent.
