Content creation is getting noisy.
There are a LOT of people competing for attention.
Use the 3 F's to stand out from the crowd.

👇
1. Facts
Some people are feelers, while others are thinkers.
I am one-thousand percent a thinker.
So much so, that while we were just in Alaska, I was peppering our salmon fishing guide with questions.
Here are some random facts I learned:
- Alaska doesn't have reptiles.
- It was the 49th state to join the Union.
- King Salmon have nearly been fished into extinction.
- The caribou herd has been decimated by bears & wolves.
When I see or hear things that make me go, "Oh wow! That's interesting!" I tend to remember it.
Well... so does a lot of your audience. They consume content because they want to LEARN something.
This means that the first type of content you should be creating is fact-based.
- Interesting facts about your industry.
- Ideas that would shock people.
- Topics most people don't talk about.
Remember, a large portion of your audience are thinkers. Give them the facts.
2. Feelings
Some people (definitely NOT me) are feelers.
They resonate with a different kind of content.
The main reason we went to Alaska was for a wedding. While the father of the bride was giving his speech, I noticed a lot of teardrops around the room.
Those... are your feelers.
They are generally very empathetic people and LOVE a heartwarming story.
This means that this audience resonates with something a little different than facts.
- Transformations.
- Underdog stories.
- Emotional challenges.
Remember, a large portion of your audience are feelers. Give them something good to feel.
3. Fun
Facts and feelings should be the BASE of your content.
But it's the FUN that will give you an edge.
One of my favorite memories of the Alaska trip was visiting Seward. It's a little fishing town with nothing to do but to walk around and look in the shops.
I'm not generally a gift shop guy, but it was the only thing open, so we decided to check it out.
I'll be honest... I had a lot of fun. Not because the gift shop was anything special. Everyone has a damn gift shop. But because we MADE it fun.
We put on hats, picked up books, browsed the board games, and turned something that could have been basic into a memory.
The same is true for your content.
You COULD just create content with facts.
You COULD just create content with feelings.
But it's unlikely anyone will remember it... or care.
The best way to create FUN with your content is to inject more YOU into it.
- Places you've gone.
- People you've met.
- Books you've read.
- Obstacles you've overcome.
- Projects you're working on.
People don't just want facts and feelings... they want to connect… remember to have FUN with your content.
Take home point…
- Create FACT based content.
- Create FEELING based content.
- But ultimately... make it FUN.
