Struggling to attract new leads?
Referrals could be the missing piece. 🧩
Here are 3 ways to grow a strong referral base.

👇
1. Bees and Butterflies
Need referrals?
Cross-pollinate.
I’ve recently become a plant dad.
We’re now growing our own herbs and tomatoes.
Most people don’t know that certain types of fruits and vegetables need to cross-pollinate to grow healthy crops.
Without cross-pollination, the plant may not grow fruit at all.
Or even if it does…the seeds might be few, underdeveloped, or may not produce viable plants in the next season.
Your business works the same way.
Referrals are the lifeblood of a business.
One of the best ways to get referrals is to cross-pollinate.
To partner with a complimentary business.
If you are an occupational therapist.
Partner with physical therapists.
If you are a medical doctor.
Partner with chiropractors.
If you are a health coach.
Partner with personal trainers.
Do as the bees and the butterflies do.
Cross-pollinate.
2. Gardens
We all know that networking can be great for referrals.
But only if you do this.
Give.
I have a neighbor who has an amazing garden.
Sometimes she’ll give us some vegetables from it.
Ever since then, I’ve felt obligated to return the favor.
So, we’ve been making her sourdough bread in return.
There’s a word for this.
It’s called reciprocity.
It’s a universal law of the universe.
We WANT to do good when good has been done to us.
Guess what… referrals work the same way.
The more you GIVE, the more you GET.
Think about this the next time you go to a networking event.
3. Community
Underrated referral source?
Paid communities.
I’ve been in free communities.
I’ve also been in paid communities.
Paid communities massively outweigh free ones.
Here’s why.
There is baked-in trust and reciprocity.
If you pay to be there, you WANT to be there.
As a result, here’s what people do.
- People buy each other’s stuff.
- People support each other’s posts.
- People refer each other to new leads.
I’m building a community of my own.
It’s for health-related business owners in Austin, Texas.
If that happens to be you, you can apply HERE.
Paid communities > free communities.
Take home point…
- Partner with complementary businesses.
- Networking is about giving.
- Paid communities beat free communities.
